India has extended anti-dumpingduties on some hot rolled flat product imports from China, Japan, Russia, SouthKorea, Brazil and Indonesia, as well as cold rolled flats from China, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine. These duties, definitively imposed in May 2017 andprovisionally in August 2016, are now in effect until 15 December.
The duties amount to the difference between the landed value and $478-561/tonne in the case of the HR flats, and landed value and $576/t in the case of CR flats. The products affected fall under HS code headings 7208, 7211, 7225 and 7226 in the case of HR flats, and7209, 7211, 7225 and 7226 in the case of CR flats.
The duties do not apply to HR stainless steel, electrolytically-plated or zinc-coated steel, or claddedsteel. In the case of CR flats they do not apply to stainless, high-speedsteel or silicon electrical steel.
